Holiday Drive

2026

Help Us Spread Holiday Cheer

Every holiday season, Proyecto Pastoral at Dolores Mission comes together with neighbors, partners, and supporters in an effort to bring warmth and joy to our Boyle Heights community. Through our annual Holiday Drives, we ensure that local families, youth, and unhoused residents have access to nourishing meals, warm winter clothing, and gifts.

Generosity is the heart of this work. Whether you choose to sponsor a family, donate toys and warm jackets, drop off books, or make a financial contribution, you are making a direct, meaningful difference for our neighbors when they need it most. Explore our upcoming drives below to see how your gift can bring a smiles to our community!

Turkey Drive

Last year, we distributed over 200 turkeys to families in Boyle Heights. Each turkey helps ensure that local families can enjoy a complete holiday meal. We are deeply grateful to our Turkey Drive sponsors for providing not only nourishment but also comfort and a sense of community this season!

We collect frozen turkeys from Nov. 18-24 to distribute.

If you would like to support this year during the Thanksgiving season, please reach out to our Development and Communications Coordinator Alex Medina via email at almedina@proyectopastoral.org for more information on our 2026 Turkey Drive.

Sponsor-A-Family

For years, our Sponsor-A-Family program has brought joy to our local neighbors during the holiday season. We work with dozens of local families in our programs to identify their needs and holiday wishes to match them with a generous donor to make this season special.

The average cost to sponsor a family is around $100-200 per family member, with families ranging in size from 3 to 8 members. Gifts typically include clothing, shoes, toys, electronics, groceries, and home essentials.

You can sign up to Sponsor-A-Family, or multiple, by using the link below:
