Gia Murillo, MPA, is the Associate Director of Development and Communications at Proyecto Pastoral, where she plays a key leadership role in advancing the organization’s fundraising, communications, and engagement efforts. In this position, Gia supports the development team in cultivating relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders to sustain and grow funding for Proyecto Pastoral’s community programs in Boyle Heights.

With a Master's degree in Public Administration, Gia brings strategic insight into nonprofit development and mission‑driven communications. Her work helps ensure that Proyecto Pastoral’s story, impact, and needs are effectively shared with supporters and allies who are essential to the organization’s ability to serve children, families, and residents across Boyle Heights.

At Proyecto Pastoral, Gia collaborates with the Executive Director, development team, and program leaders to align communications and fundraising strategies with the organization’s mission to walk side‑by‑side with Boyle Heights residents through grassroots projects in education, leadership, and service.
