Velvet Holguin is the Program Director of IMPACTO, Proyecto Pastoral’s youth development program in Boyle Heights. In this role, she leads a team dedicated to providing young people in Transitional Kindergarten through middle school with safe, enriching after-school and summer learning opportunities that support academic growth, social-emotional development, and community engagement.

 

IMPACTO is part of Proyecto Pastoral’s mission to empower Boyle Heights through grassroots programs in education, leadership, and service, with a focus on equitable access to quality resources for local families and children.

Prior to her current leadership role, Velvet was closely involved with IMPACTO’s community work, and her return to the program as Director reflects her commitment to youth development and neighborhood investment.

 

At Proyecto Pastoral, Velvet partners with staff, educators, families, and community members to sustain IMPACTO’s legacy of holistic support — fostering environments where youth can grow academically and personally, feeling a sense of belonging and purpose.
