Jennifer Sanchez-Guevara, Ed.D., is the Program Director of Promesa Boyle Heights at Proyecto Pastoral, a community-based initiative in Boyle Heights focused on improving educational and wellness outcomes for students and families. In her leadership role, Jennifer guides Promesa’s collaborative efforts with schools, families, and local partners to strengthen community-school relationships and support student success across the neighborhood.

 

Promesa Boyle Heights is a collective impact initiative that brings together educators, residents, and community organizations to create systems-level change in support of academic achievement, community empowerment, and post-secondary success. Under Jennifer’s direction, the program works to build equitable access to opportunities that expand learning, leadership, and wellness for young people throughout Boyle Heights.

At Proyecto Pastoral, Jennifer collaborates with staff, community schools managers, coordinators, and family leaders to sustain Promesa’s mission of transforming education through partnership, alignment, and shared community goals — all rooted in the organization’s commitment to solidarity and service in Boyle Heights.
