Helping Our Youth Succeed: Cesar's Story
November 28, 2017

Last school year, Cesar was a senior at Roosevelt High School. A Roosevelt administrator recommended Cesar to enroll in Academic Case Management, because he saw
potential in Cesar, but felt he needed help to finish the year strong and graduate with the rest of his class.
Cesar expressed that before starting the program, he felt that he was just trying to get by, doing what he can to see where he ends up. As for his future, he was unsure, and “settling for average", or seeing what he could get for himself with his basic skills. During the program, his attitude and motivation changed in a positive way. He shared,
“It impacted my performance a lot actually, because it helped me get organized, helped me set a goal every time I have something to do, set priorities straight...”
Cesar made great progress, got back on track, and was able to graduate with his class!
